Lightridge Singers

Lightridge Singers is an advanced mixed ensemble with highly motivated and dedicated singers. Students in this class perform at a high level of proficiency. Students in this ensemble meet in one section and require some before or after school rehearsals to prepare for performances. Choral literacy will be developed through advanced music literacy, advanced vocal technique, and a variety of choral literature. Lightridge Singers will perform at various events such as competitions and workshops. This group is open to males and females in Grades 9-12. An audition is required.

Select Treble Chorus is an intermediate ensemble with highly motivated and dedicated singers with previous choral experience. Students in this ensemble meet in one section and require some before or after school rehearsals to prepare for performances. Choral literacy will be developed through intermediate music literacy, intermediate vocal technique, and a variety of choral literature. This group is open to all treble voices in Grades 10-12. An audition is required.

Select Treble CHorus

Select Treble Chorus is an intermediate ensemble with highly motivated and dedicated singers with previous choral experience. Students in this ensemble meet in one section and require some before or after school rehearsals to prepare for performances. Choral literacy will be developed through intermediate music literacy, intermediate vocal technique, and a variety of choral literature. This group is open to all treble voices in Grades 10-12. An audition is required.

Bass Chorus

Bass Chorus members have seen success from earning Superior Ratings in both performance and literacy at Choral Assessment through developing choral skills such as tone, intonation, literacy, and artistry. Students in this ensemble meet in one section and require some before or after school rehearsals to prepare for performances. Participation in this ensemble teaches students about choral basics, and helps them develop healthy technique. This group is open to all changed voices in Grades 9-12. There is no audition required. All you need to bring is a positive attitude and a willingness to improve.

Treble Chorus

Women’s Chorus members have seen success from earning Superior Ratings in both performance and literacy at Choral Assessment through developing choral skills such as tone, intonation, literacy, and artistry. Students in this ensemble meet in two separate sections and require some before or after school rehearsals to combine for performances. Rehearsals are few and far between closer to performances. Participation in this ensemble teaches students about choral basics, and helps them develop healthy technique. This group is open to all treble singers in Grades 9-12. There is no audition required. All you need to bring is a positive attitude and a willingness to improve.
